The U8/U9/U10 Academy is an NCYSA sanctioned level of play in NC. The inaugural season of the Youth Academy at WCWAA has been a tremendous success. Academy soccer is the first step for many players making the jump out of recreational soccer. In the greater Charlotte area, Academy soccer is the entry to travel soccer for advanced players. The U8/U9/U10 Academy follows basic guidelines set by NCYSA and carried out at the club level.

The Youth Academy is in place to help introduce our players to higher level soccer and help prepare them for the future. The idea of heavy emphasis on individual player development is the forefront of all decisions regarding the Youth Academy and its players. Our objective is to properly prepare our players, coaches and parents for higher level soccer within WCWAA by providing the necessary technical training in an exciting and productive atmosphere.
Focus:
The primary focus of the Youth Academy is individual player development through technical training. Team success and development is a byproduct of strong individual success and development.
