Information about WCWAA Micro Soccer

Volunteers

This organization (from coaches to commissioner ) is completely run by volunteers.   So we truly appreciate the help we receive from parents who are willing to coach and from all of you who may not feel ready to coach but are willing to help in so many other ways.  Thank You!

The Games

It's a non-competitive program that focuses on Fun.  Kids have a great time as they learn some of the basics of soccer.  Micro Soccer is divided into 2 age divisions ranging from 3 years old to 5 year olds.  There will normally be 2 games each weekend, with one game on either Friday or Saturday and a game played on Sunday afternoon. There are no practices during the week.

Special Request

Parents may request for their children to be placed on teams with friends and siblings but there is NO guarantee that we will be able to fulfill that request. If your request involves children that fall into the correct age divisions we will do the best to make that work.

Advanced players

In the event that you have a child that is extremely advanced for their age group, you may request to move up a division.  We can move up a child but can not move any children down a division.

Theory

Touches on the ball is what gives the children the experience they need to excel as they enter the competitive leagues in seasons to come. This is why the two different divisions is important in the growth of the players.

Thanks and we look forward to your involvement and participation in our program!  For any questions or concerns not listed on the website, please contact the Micro Soccer Commissioner:

REMINDER: Optimist Park is a Tobacco - Free area and pets are also not allowed at the park.  So please refrain from tobacco use of any kind while on park property and leave your pets at home.  Thanks for your help in upholding park policies!
